Hi, my name is Mel and I'm the director of Small Spark Productions - a new venture which began in 2024.
We are a small but ambitious collective of teachers, writers and theatre makers who are passionate about theatre and the arts in education. We are proud to launch our very first children's musical production...and very excited about sharing lots of new creative projects with you soon!
About Small Spark Productions
Small sparks lead to big ideas
It all began as a 'small spark' of an idea for a new children's musical back in 2023. As an experienced teacher and arts practitioner, I've been devising, writing, choreographing and directing school and youth productions for over 10 years. The task of putting on a show with a group of young people can sometimes feel extremely daunting, however it is the most rewarding experience for all involved. The 'School Show' is such a memorable event for both children and teachers, providing a unique opportunity to collaborate as a group, promote positive wellbeing, self-expression, confidence and communication skills.

With the help of some incredibly talented and creative colleagues, my dream of releasing our first published musical for schools became a reality in 2024, and I'm so excited to share this with you.

Our mission is to ignite a passion for the arts and create an exciting new range of comprehensive musical production packs and performing arts projects. We hope to inspire and support educators in providing outstanding opportunities to participate in the arts, have fun and let your imagination run free!

Small Spark Productions aims to provide everything you need in one easy to use pack, enabling you to create amazing shows and meaningful creative arts experiences without any of the stress or drama!
